Offboard means that the cards on a central server are the Smartphone over the mobile Internet needs are constantly in contact. Here you should go online via an Internet flat, to avoid high costs. Still one speaks often of "turn by turn navigation". The direction via monitor and speech is shown the driver here in a timely manner, as we know it from commercially available navigation systems.
