First impression is: A quarter of all users use apps only once

Smartphone and Tablet owners like to experiment with new apps. Although the competition in the market with approximately 400,000 is huge over 200,000 Android apps and iPhone, newcomers have very good chances to end up on many mobile devices. This is the good news for app developers.

The bad: So generously mobile users give a chance to the new and just fast times download them, so harshly and quickly they judge also. If you like the new app not on right off the bat, 26 percent of the users throw it immediately back down - no second chance. The app does not like after the second or third use is only to or any second device. The very loyal, ten times or more using an app, account for about 26 percent of users. The American company called these figures for the period July 2010 to March Localytics, the download and usage figures seen from apps.


Rather try out or learn first?
